Since I'm struggling to post the picture captions with the pictures....

Picture 1: the soda holders... =)

Picture 2: the wiring... it was a lot of work but everything is efficient and out of the way

Picture 3: Satellite is ready to go. Tied it to the bumper in within 5 minutes we had the dish up and running

Picture 5: The crowd begins to gather before the game. This was about 4 pm. I was there, of course, at a little after 8 am. Who wants to delay tailgating for the opening game?

Busy weekend with Mom..

Darin went to Nebraska again to finalize the tailgate vehicle. The kiddos and I had a busy weekend. On Saturday, we went to the Liberty Fire Station to have the new car seats installed. Parker's infant seat was getting to heavy to carry, so it was time for a new seat. Parker got Madison's seat and Madison got a new seat with a cup holder. Yes, she felt and still feels like a princess. As we were at the fire station for a little over an hour, Madison received a tour of the fire truck. She was shy, but had a great time. Parker just sat in his infant seat and smiled. On Sunday, I told Madison we were going shopping (a.k.a Target). As I got the kiddos ready (diaper changes, breakfast, cloths on and bag packed) took about 1/2 hour later. Madison said, "shopping?" Oh my.. I guess I am a little brave to take both of them, this was the first time. The minute we went by the electronics department Madison said, "Princess, Princess, Mommy, Princess." The clerk just laughed. Yes Madison saw a princess video. We were at Target for an hour, then it was time to go home. I did not want to be cooped up the the house all day. So I decided to take the kiddos to Zona Rosa play area. Madison was shy at first, but then had a blast. Next to the play area was a Toys R Us. Madison enjoyed the tarantula.

Madison 2yr appointment

Well since there were no shots involved yesterday for Madison’s 2 year appointment, she was a super patient. Even the doctor was surprised as every other prior visit included lots of tears. The doctor gave her stickers, which was a hit. Of course, we had to put them all (eight of them) on her before the doctor could examine her. She talked to the doctor via his stethoscope, which made him laugh. Well she really talked his ear off! She weighs in at 25.4 pounds, 32.5 inches and lung capacity at 120%! She told everyone, “hello” when we arrived. Then “good-bye” and blew kisses when it was time to leave. What a great appointment. We have annual follow-ups, but no more shots till it’s time for kindergarten, except the annual flu shot.

Clifford the Big Red Dog..

On Sunday, we took the kiddos to Crown Center for the free Clifford the Big Red Dog exhibit. We met some friends and Madison's classmate Charlotte for the girls to have some fun. The girls had a blast as there were so many activities, slide, tunnel, shape puzzle, music, coloring, mail, books, food, books, costumes, and etc. After the exhibit we went to Fritz's (railroad restaurant) in which food is delivered to your table via a train. The girls enjoyed the choo-choo and the food.

2nd Birthday Celebration for Madison

Madison celebrated her 2nd birthday on Saturday with her Grandparents and great Aunt and Uncle from RI. Madison showed off her skills with the IPAD (showing both Grandma's how to use it), playing catch with a nebraska football and cups with Grandpa R and enjoyed opening her presents as Grandpa H took pictures. But most of all, Madison enjoyed eating cake..... and spending time with family. But we think the cake was #1. In fact her shirt enjoyed the cake as much as Madison.

A Mighty Mustang

Today was Madison's first official day as a Mighty Mustang. She had a "sad" drop-off, some screaming and tears. However, according to her teachers she did well after I left. Their morning project was making a train and then went outside for some fun. She is getting to be such a "big" girl.

Pincess is 2

Yes, the Pincess (as Madison calls it, she is having troubles with R's) is two today. For her celebration at CernerKids (which she cried most of the time) included Elmo cupcakes. We enjoyed the afternoon in Playful Panda's. In addition, Madison's friend Charlotte and her mom attended. It was a very special day for Pincess Madison.

Geez...

When I picked Madison up from school yesterday, her teacher said, “ I have a funny story to tell you.” Madison’s normal routine in the morning is to walk-in to school (her room), wash her hands, sit down for breakfast, and when finished with breakfast take the empty plate to the sink. Well apparently when Madison was done with her breakfast, she got up and tried to take her plate to the sink. However, one of her friends dad was “in the way” and Madison told him and said, “Geez.” Then she tried another way towards the sink, when she made it, her friend was washing his hands. Madison said to him. “Geez (and his name).” Well I guess I know where she picked that up from…probably me. I am sure there was some animation as well.

A future Mighty Mustang...

Yesterday we found out that Madison will be moving up to her next room at CernerKids. She will be a Mighty Mustang on August 23. We are so very proud of our little girl. She is absolutely amazing.
