Carolyn's Pumpkin Farm

On Friday, we attended the annual CernerKids outing at Carolyn's Pumpkin Patch. After a cool, rainy morning, we ended up having a beautiful afternoon to enjoy the animals (Madison was with the animals for a hour and cried when it was time for the next activity), ride the train, eat pumpkin donuts (of course..), take a hay rack ride to pick our pumpkins (Parker took a little snooze on the ride), and spend time as a family. In the picture of Madison with the Donkey's she said to the Donkey's, "Come Here" and gestured to them. I look foreward to this event every year!

In Seattle with my Sweetheart

Darin and I travelled to Seattle, WA for the Nebraska vs. Washington football game. We were able to spent a few days prior to the game to be together. It had been awhile that Darin and I had just taken a trip together. We were able to reconnect, have some silence and enjoy each others company. It was an awesome trip and I love my husband even more. We realized based on our navigation skills that we would be a stellar team on the Amazing Race..Maybe someday we'll be on the show...=) During our few days in WA, we visited the Aquarium, Crab Pot (featured on Man vs. Food), Rays (Seafood restaurant on the shore), Hard Rock Cafe to see SideTracks band, football game, friends who live in WA for great french toast and after game grub, travelled to pick up 10 pounds of jerky and some sausage from Yelm, and so much more.

Messy Mania..

On Saturday morning, I took the kiddos to Messy Mania as part of the Liberty Schools, Parents as Teachers event. The event included activities such as painting with objects (flowers, cookie cutters, beads, etc.), scooping and touching flour, finger painting, scooping coffee grounds in a sandbox, "spinning" paint, and etc. Madison had a blast, she wanted to paint with the flower so much that we returned to that activity three times. Parker just watched Madison get dirty.

Catch up

Sorry it has been so long since the last post. It's been a crazy, busy time. Last weekend, for the holiday we were home for the Husker game. Then on Sunday we traveled to Topeka, KS for a friend's wedding reception. The reception started at 7:30pm. Parker's bedtime is 7pm, so we were a little nervous. We brought the kiddos bedtime PJ's so we could quickly change them before the ride home. Kids did great. Madison enjoyed the reception, she is quite the dancer. Parker was a little on edge as he is teething. Again, I failed, no pictures of Parker or Darin.

WKU Tailgate 2010

Since I'm struggling to post the picture captions with the pictures....

Picture 1: the soda holders... =)

Picture 2: the wiring... it was a lot of work but everything is efficient and out of the way

Picture 3: Satellite is ready to go. Tied it to the bumper in within 5 minutes we had the dish up and running

Picture 4: Tent worked out great and the bar looked awesome. The glass on the bar really looked sharp

Picture 5: The crowd begins to gather before the game. This was about 4 pm. I was there, of course, at a little after 8 am. Who wants to delay tailgating for the opening game?

Picture 6: Finding some shade and enjoying the day. I didn't realize until after the day was over that the backside picture of Jen was the only picture I had of her that day..

Picture 7: Honda generators running the whole show. You can barely hear them.

Picture 8: Jay. The brother-in-law who helped make it all happen

Picture 9: Big Screen at night. It looked really sharp

Picture 10: Tailgating after the game

Picture 11 and 12: Hanging out with my cousins

Picture 13: Watching the band go by after the game
