Easter at Deanna Rose Farms

We enjoyed spending Easter afternoon at Deanna Rose Farms. This time Parker was able to get out and see the sites. I helped him walk. Madison enjoyed the slides, riding the tractor, petting the animals, assisting Parker, chillin with Daddy, and watching me feed the goats. She told the goats, "Move back, one at a time." We had a wonderful day...and it was not crowded.

Spring Game @ Grandma and Grandpa Rezac's

The kids spent Spring Game Saturday at Grandma and Grandpa R's. Madison decorated Easter Eggs (which mom and dad forgot to take back to KC) for the first time. According to Grandma she had a great time dunking the eggs and playing with all the colors. Also during the day, Madison decorated cupcakes that Grandma made. She made one specifically for Dad and Mom. She was very proud of herself and her gift. We were as well.

Parker had a good time as well. In between pulling things off the shelves and messing with the VCR, he enjoyed eating with Grandpa and of course, eating an Easter cupcake. The little man eats anything you put in front of him. He also gave Grandpa quite the challenge. Each time Grandpa closed his eyes for a nap, Parker was gone. Good thing Madison closed all the doors.

Deanna Rose Farmstead

Although the weather is in the upper 80's we decided the Deanna Rose Farmstead would be a fun place to take the kids. We've been there a few times before and we've really enjoyed it. Madison got to pet a calf, goats, be a butterfly, see some birds and to enjoy the slide. We had a wonderful time. Parker enjoyed eating his Cheerios and watching Big Sis.

Another fun little story.. and one step

The other night at the dinner table, Madison was eating her hamburger and talking to Parker. Parker was in his highchair, moving and squirming around. All of the sudden, Parker hit his head on the table top of his highchair, he whined a little. Madison said, "Parker, I told you to be careful, don't mess around." Hmm..she is picking this up from somewhere! Also, on Saturday, Parker took his first step. We were playing by the table and he let go of the chair and took one step. We all celebrated, Madison, Darin, Parker and I. We are so proud of him.

Parker's stats

A year has passed and our little Parker is 1. This means he's ready for his year check-up, which includes three shots. First, his stats: Height 30 inches (50% for his age) and Weight 20 pounds 6 ounces (10% for his age). He is quite the eater, but very actively crawling and pulling himself up.
Madison went with Parker and I to his appointment. Madison got on the scale too, with her sippy cup, pinks, snacks, books and herself she weighed in at 27.5 pounds. Once we weighed Parker, Ms. Shirley (nurse) took us to our room. Parker was crawling around in his diaper, then Madison said, "Mommy I want to crawl." I said, "ok." She turned to me and said coat off, then dress off. I told her she could crawl with her clothes on. Shirley just laughed.
Then it was time for the three shots, I was holding Parker. Madison scooted up to the table and grabbed Parker's hand. She said, "Parker it's okay, you'll be alright." Once finished, Ms. Shirley asked Madison if she wanted a sticker, she told Shirley, the stickers were too big and she did not want one. Parker did not get one either, Madison thought they were too big for Parker.
