Parker's Special Day....Baptism

Today was Parker's Baptism at St. James Parish in Liberty, MO. We shared such a special day with Parker and his family. We are so blessed to have such a special boy and wonderful, but busy little girl, as the pictures will show.

Michael Buble Concert

Last night, Jen and I attended Michael Buble's concert. It was a lot of fun. Naturally 7 opened for MB and they were incredible. They use no instruments, but their voices... yet is sounds like they have drums, a base, trombone, etc.. it was incredible. MB's concert was really good as well. Very entertaining and he really played to the crowd. I liked the fact it was very different from his last visit to KC. After the concert, we ate outside in the Power and Light district and enjoyed watching the crowds. It was a great date night.

Off to Oakland CA

In a few hours I'll be heading back to Oakland. I'm very excited about this potential client and everything we can deliver for them. It would be great to have a new footprint in California as well. I do miss Jen and the kids on these trips, but the pictures and phone calls help. I just hope they're good for Jen as I won't be back until very late Friday night.

Parker enjoying the water...

Our little man loves the water. At school yesterday, they had a pool party. Enjoy the picture.

3rd night..amazing

Well so far so good. Right after Madison's bath tonight she said "potty." She lifted the lid, sat down, then got up and shut the door, then sat back down on the potty. It was so funny to watch, but I kept my composure. She then sat back down and went pee. She was so excited to wash her hands, she forgot to wipe and close the lid, so we went through the wipe and close the lid routine before she finally washed her hands.

We are so proud of her.

Another amazing night.....

Well knock on wood (a.k.a. my head) but we had another success last night before bed. Madison was in the tub taking a bath when she said, "Mama out....potty." She said it a few times. I took her out and dried her off. She walked over to the potty, said, "potty" lifted the lid and sat down. A few seconds later, she did #1 (I guess I can say pee). She was super excited, grabbed toilet paper, wiped and closed the lid of the potty. We celebrated by giving high fives and hugs. It's nice that she lets us know when she has to go...We'll see if this continues.

Amazing event tonight

I was hanging out with Sir Parker tonight when Jen ran up the stairs and said "you'll never believe what happened". Jen was getting Madison ready for her bath. She had just taken off Madison's diaper when Madison bolted for her little toilet. We had just recently unpacked it debating when we should start potty training. Madison lifted the lid, sat down and did #2. She then "wiped" herself and stood up. Jen was in shock. As Jen was telling me this story, Madison came to the stairs and was clapping. So we clapped with her. She was so proud of herself. And we were proud as well. I guess this means she's ready......?

oh, one other funny thing. While Madison was doing her job, she was holding her nose as to say it stinks. I guess she's been watching mom and that's how she knew what to do... =)

Memorial Day Weekend at the Petting Zoo

We took the family to Deanna Rose Farm to pet and feed some farm animals. Madison thought everything was a cow (a mooooo) or a horse (neigh). She was a little shy about feeding the goats but was willing to try.... try that is until Jen got her finger bit by a goose. That scared Madison and she stopped wanting to bet the animals. The day was hot but there was plenty of shade. We only stayed for about an hour, but it was just long enough. Parker was getting hungry and Madison was getting tired. We can't wait to visit again.
