1st family cruise......Disney

For our family vacation this year and in prep for Madison's 5th birthday (in August) we took a family Disney Cruise. We had heard so many wonderful things about the Disney Cruise but could not believe how amazing it really was. The kids are still asking when then can go back. This trip was a lot of firsts for the kids...airport check-in, airplane ride, bus ride, train transport, trolley, playing till 10:30pm (except when at Grandma and Grandpa's =)), swim with dolphin, experience the ocean, sand, and being in wet-suits. Our cruise was 4 days and we sailed out of Port Canaveral, went to Nassua and Castaway Cay (Disney Island) on Sunday, May 12 and arrived back on Thursday, May 16. There were a variety of activities for the kids, character sightings, dance parties, pirate night, ice cream, oceaners club (day care for the kids open 10am to midnight almost each day). Darin and I had a few date nights in a great little Skyline bar that had speciality drinks focused on specific cities: Chicago, Hong Kong, New York and Paris. We enjoyed ourselves so much we booked the same trip for next year.

We had a dino-mite celebration in honor of Parker's birthday. It was filled with dinosaur cookies and fun plates.

Monkey Business Climb

Today, we had a birthday party for a friend in Madison's class. She had much energy for the bouncy houses, slides, tunnels and rope, but really wanted to do more. She wanted to try and climb the rock wall. In her tutu skirt, Cinderella slippers (with heals) and energy she was ready. She had a blast.

Typical Saturday

Every Saturday, Madison has dance class.  So Parker and I run errands.   On this Saturday, Parker got a haircut.  He did very well and hardly moved.  In fact, I don't think he put his sucker in his mouth the entire time.

After Dance and a nap, Madison likes to put on her headphones and show off her ipad skills.   She's fearless

Sesame Street Live

We took the kids to Sesame Street Live.  They really enjoyed the show.   Both were very pumped to see Elmo.   We attended a pre show event where the kids were able to play games, draw pictures, color and meet some of the characters up close.   When it was time for the show, we took our seats and enjoyed the kids favorite:  popcorn.  By the time the show was over, both were tired of dancing and running around.
